Booster Juice
HI everyone don't despair, we all loose at different rates and we all have those off weeks. Last week I gained 3 lbs I have lost it already so Im happy about that but we all have those weeks where it's 1 lb loss or a slight gain. But each day we learn something and we have this awesome outlet to talk to others who have the same goal as us.
I found out a couple tips from a gal I know who has lost so far 150 lbs she has 60 more to go and let me tell you with determination you can do anything....She gave me 2 tips today, 1. drink green tea she said to let it steep till it's bitter start off with one cup in the morning then one at lunch and one before bed but build up to it. She says it's horrible if it steeps so long but she said it worked for her. 2. speaking of prizes and booster juice go to booster juice and get a shot of wheat grass, it cleans out your body it takes out toxins that are built up in your body WARNING: it's not pleast about 45 min after you have it but make sure you don't drink it and have to work or go somewhere make sure your going right home LOL...but it helps clean you out...Im stopping tomorrow on my way home...I heard it works wonders so can't wait to try it.
We are doing the right thing-hang in there!!!
We all know that we are doing the right thing with exercising and eating better. You did not gain 10, 20, 40, 100lbs in four or five weeks, so be patient!! If you are doing the right things, eating right, gaining muscle mass, improving cardiovascular health, getting fresh air, socializing at a gym, we will all be better off in the long run. Take it slow, weigh yourself once or twice a week, don't let up and down on a scale throw your whole week off. There are 21 meals in a week, try and make 18 or 19 of them healthy each week and stop beating yourself up over a couple of slips. WE CAN DO THIS!!!!
Glad...
I am glad to hear that I am not the only one struggling....gotta hang in there though...this weight has GOT to come off....
ps..I love Booster juice...this prize would be nice :)
nevermind , found it
found the blog where the info is.
Don't give up!
I just want to encourage the people who are losing and gaining week to week to not give up. This Monday I weighed myself and was up 3 lbs after losing 14 lbs since the start of the challenge. I was SO bummed all day, then weighed myself again this a.m. to find that I had already lost the 3 lbs I gained over the weekend. Everyone tells me there are 'ups and downs' and it's true...I hate the scale and love it all at the same time [when it has good news...!]
I have found so far that this is a great challenge, and thanks to X-Weighted I have been on track for the first time in a very long time. My comments - for the 'approved' recipes, could you please include a nutritional analysis so we can see fat, calories etc? This would be helpful.
My other comment is please consider revising your challenge regulations. I missed ONE weigh-in week 2 [I overlooked the rule that you have to weigh-in every single week] and now I am no longer eligible to win any prizes. :( The motivation from this challenge has been wonderful...but I have to say I was pretty discouraged after I found out X-Weighted says missing 1 weigh-in = no prizes. Could you add a 'can only miss 1 weigh-in' rule? Thanks for considering this and GOOD LUCK EVERYONE~!
I'll certainly bring this consideration to the team...
... but what other people have done is get a friend to weigh in for them if they were unable to access a computer one week.
I am glad I am in the same
I am glad I am in the same frustrating boat as a lot of you. I have been on a strict eating plan that I copied from the last ten pounds bootcamp website. I have not given into any temptation and its killing me. My fiance and I are planning a cheat day some time down the road, but for the time being I am at the gym working my ass off and have only lost 5 pounds in total. It does not help my esteem when the friggin weigh in asks are you sure and makes you feel horrible if you have not lost any weight or gained some. I think they have to fix that to account for muscle gained when the fat comes off. I have a body fat scale and according to it I have lost over 2% body fat. I wish they would add more things to eat that are good for you and more tips on exercise and cooking.
Have you looked through the old blog posts?
There is LOTS of information on cooking and exercising. You can search the blogs by subject too.
Mine is going the same...I
Mine is going the same...I keep losing the same ten pounds, with no significant change. I am hoping that will start to change soon, and that if I keep at it, I will see the results I want.
Mind you, I did mess up my weigh in for this week with no way to fix it, so next weeks results will be great! lmao
metabolism
Maybe xweighted could do a blog on what foods to eat and not to eat, and things to do, to boost our metabolism. I think that also has to do with our weight in's. Also have to watch our sodium and sugars.
We have already!
Look back through the old blogs.

It will come off
It took years to put this weight on, therefore it will take awhile for our bodies to adjust. this coming from someone, who was complaining about the very same thing last week. My average is to lose 1.2 lbs per week. so I shd of lost 4.8, i have lost 4.5 and Have been excercising 2. to 2.5 hrs 6 days aweek. So I am ok with it now, yes I think th epay off shd be bigger. But I know I am doing all the right things, so it will come.
Bah...I'm annoyed
Ok. So I've worked out 6 days a week since this thing started and I've lost a total of 5 lbs....I apparently gained 2lbs last week. I'm pretty frustrated because I've felt that I've been doing pretty good with the food and with the exercise but I still gained 2lbs????? Bah...I'll still keep plugging along with hopefully better results next week:)
gains
the gain is likely muscle, don't worry about it, there's lots of time left, and it will take time. If you are working out hard then your muscles are likely getting bigger which is better because they will burn more calories the bigger they are. :-)
It sucks!
Don't know whats going on either. Worked out hard for 10 hours last week. Ate clean and slept well, gain 4 pounds...
I hear your frustration... I
I hear your frustration... I keep eating well and working out and have only lost 1 pound this whole time. I feel good and know my shape is changing, it's just a little disheartening to not see it on the scales. Keep at it and we'll the numbers change. =)
