Report from the National Challenge Final weigh-in Event in Halifax
The staff at the Halifax YMCA, and Lola from XWeighted.com (who attended the event) were absolutely thrilled with the results they saw at Saturday's event. "I just want to cry seeing how well the participants have done," said Alison Bleeker, who coordinated the X-Weighted events at the Halifax YMCA.
Some people that came to get weighed-in had met their XWeighted.com weight-loss goals, and some hadn't, but all were thrilled at the positive changes that they had made in their lives over the past 26 weeks. We did video interviews with some of the people we met in Halifax:
Lizz lost 36 pounds and feels great! She got married last October, and joked that she wants to do it over so that she could be a slim bride this time around.
Cathy also lost 36 pounds (and more than 18 inches!), and is very happy. She notices a real improvement in her quality of life and is going to continue with her fitness journey.
Jennifer didn't meet her weight-loss goal, but is grateful for the Challenge for helping her drop 10 pounds and get a lot fitter.
Friends Paula and Mary-Ellen signed up together, and were thrilled to take almost 2 minutes off their fitness test times.
Sylvie has done incredibly well, and even bought her old jeans to show us how much weight she had lost!
We'll be announcing the Grand Prize Winners on Friday! Stay tuned...

Motivation
I had to come back here and watch a few of these videos. They are all really inspiring. Thanks for the motivation.
Thanks Nancy & Staff @ YMCA
I made a small mistake in my comments, I said I had lost 32-35 lbs in the last six months. I wanted to say in the last 8 months and its actually almost 40 lbs since last Nov. I lost 23.5 with the challenge. My goal was 20 lbs.
Thanks to everyone at the YMCA in Halifax on Saturday. You were all great. I haven't stopped smiling since.
Yay Sylvie!
And Congrats to all the others as well!!
I went early, sorry to have missed all of you. I want to send a special shout out to Alison and her team though - their enthusiasm at my success made me feel just as thrilled as if there was a whole roomful of people congratulating me. :)
Well done, Halifax staff!
