From the outside looking in, it might seem that Heather has it all: a great job in a male-dominated field, a husband who adores her and a beautiful little girl. However, her love/hate relationship with food, and resulting excess weight, overshadows her feelings of accomplishment.

Over the years, yo-yo diets have resulted in Heather losing weight, then putting it back on. With little knowledge of good nutrition, and an appreciation of the extra time that drive-through meals buy her, Heather grabs fast-food for dinner most nights. She is motivated to change because she wants more energy to be with her child, and because she wants her daughter to have a healthy relationship with food.

Heather doubts she can cram exercise into her schedule, and doesn’t know how to start changing her feelings about food. Despite this, her commitment to her journey is impressive, and her growing relationship with her beautiful little girl gets stronger every day.
