Everyone always tells Gaia how beautiful she is, especially her husband, but she just can’t see it. Even as a kid, Gaia was always been bigger than average. With her Icelandic and South American heritage she has always looked different, so she turned to counter-culture where her looks would be greeted with open arms.
Having a baby has made Gaia heavier than ever before. Although she feeds her beautiful 1-year-old Zaara healthy food, Gaia rarely takes the time to prepare a decent meal for herself, and loves the convenience of fast food. The last thing she wants to do is pass her food issues on to her daughter, so Gaia knows that she has to change things once and for all.
Roller-derby is Gaia’s release, but her level of fitness is so poor that she finds it hard to keep up and is embarrassed by her lack of stamina. Gaia wants to get stronger so that she can excel on the rink, and gain the confidence to see what everyone else sees in her.
